West Penn Hospital, centrally located in Pittsburgh’s Bloomfield neighborhood since 1848, is regionally and nationally known for exceptional patient care and outstanding medical services. West Penn Hospital is a 356 Acute Care Hospital offering a wide variety of services including Hematology/Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant, Labor and Delivery, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care, Burn Center, Medical and Surgical ICU, Rehab, Internal Medicine, Emergency Services, and various ambulatory services. West Penn employs over 1,100 physicians and 2,000 staff members to provide exceptional care. The hospital also hosts numerous medical and surgical residents from both West Penn and across the Allegheny Health Network. Despite being a substantial academic medical center, we take pride in nurturing a community culture that encourages support and meaningful interactions.
